Controller: Logitech or Micro$haft?

I have a table that has a wrist rest piece on the edge closest to me where most
steering wheels are supposed to clamp down.  Here's a crude pic I drew of it.

Would a Logitech or Microsoft wheel fit on this?  I'm going to run up to
Circuit City real quick and take a look at the boxes.  If I can tell for sure,
I'll buy one or the other - my old wheel is DEAD.  :(   If not, I'll wait for a
response from someone.  :)

It kinda depends how soft and how thick the wrist rest is, but the older
Logitech and the MS wheel should both fit. They both have clamps that open
pretty wide. I can't speak for the new Logitech wheel because I haven't
looked at them very carefully.

You'd have to tighten the clamps pretty good to squash the wrist rest down
so the wheel wouldn't wobble. Might not be too good for the rest if the
wheel is on and off a lot.

Can you just rip the wrist rest (that's fun to say out loud!) off the table?

Wrist rest is gone.  I simply had to remove three screws.  :D  Anyway, I got
the $50 Logitech Wingman Formula GP (no force feedback, single axis pedals),
but it still works at least.    The Microsoft wheel probably wouldn't
work--I don't think I have a USB port.
