If I was at all artistically inclined, I'd give it a go.

Well, that ain't going to happen without Papy's help. Aero modeling is
locked up in the source code. However, I know there are people working on
USAC car sets and after they come out and I get a cable modem I might just
take a crack at running a USAC online league. I've got a couple of decades
of experience at race promotion and administration in "real" life.
I also know there is a project to give us every GP season of the 60's. Can't
wait to get my hands on Phil Hill's Championship Dino but why not His '61
Testa Rossa with the shark nose as well? A Vanwall? An Alfa 159? A Porsche
917K?
With none of these is aero modeling a dramatic problem. Drag would be the
only issue for realism, and by picking the right "donor" car, ( F1, F2, F3),
it could be done a "reasonably close enough" basis.
The only issue is new wireframes for the cars and appropriate clipping. It's
been done elsewhere, including Papy games, and there are reshaped '67 cars
available, so I'm curious as to why this hasn't been taken further.
