N1? Restrictor setting?

Hi Folks,
What can I expect when I turn off the restrictor plates at say
Talladega. I guess I'll have to change my setup, but what will the AI
cars do? Also, now that I'm working on all these setups for N1,
will I be able to use them when I get N2?  I'm getting there.
Still getting whupped at 97%, but I'm getting there.
Aloha, Henry

First off, to run Dega without the plate, you'll have to significantly lengthen
fourth gear to avoid grenading the motor.  You may need to do some weight
adjustments for better handling, I wouldn't know, I never ran many laps without
the plate (basically just enough to beat Elliott's record).  And forget about
staying wide-open all the way around.  You'll have to lift completely, and quite
possibly brake, to make it through the tri-oval...

As for the AI, this doesn't affect their horsepower... I can't quite remember
the way to speed 'em up to match, but there is a way...

As for setups, the short answer is no, the longer answer is yes.  No, you can't
directly use N1 setups in N2, but I think I've seen a program that allows you
to convert setups from one to the other...
