Like it or loath it, there's a lot of people with a copy of GP3 out there -
and from what we've heard - JAM files are still being used for
textures...so - can we be expecting gp3jam.exe in the next few days...

Thus - followed by a Year 2000 paint-set by the end of the weekend.

GP3edit.exe by Mid August?

GP3 track editing for November?

And a complete Year 2000 overhaul by the end of the year.

Or am I asking too much?

There is already a utility on the way that lets you increase the maximum
frame rate, it works too.  It should be released by the time the game is.

What is the advantage to having a faster frame rate?  I am not all
that familiar with tweaking sims?

It will move smoother :)
Most games have more or less no limit on frame rate.  GPL is limited to
about 37, which isn't a problem, but the 25 fps GP3 is limited means it just
doesn't look smooth enough.

Makes sense. Thanks.

Well, JAMs seem to be fairly easy with some small adaptations to the
existing editor.

No comment. But I think the chance of a first basic version (with
basic functionality) around that time is high.

GP2Edit also needed time to "grow".

HMmm... Last time I heard the CC-line was a totally different beast
this time. So totally new, PLAYABLE, tracks could take a while. Minor
changes to original tracks won't take more than a week, probably!

A little bit too early, but graphics updates looks very promising
already.
