I haven't really done much with it, but from others I've heard it is very
impressive.

Text looks fine to me using 1024x768 on my 17".

It has no 24-bit modes, but in 16-bit however, the highest resolution is
1280x1024.  At 32-bit, the highest res is 800x600.

I'm about sold on the Reactor Verite as the
        all-in-one solution.

I realise that its 3D capabilities are very
good but I need to know how well it works in
        other applications.

I need to know how its mpeg performance is.

I would also like to know how well it renders
text in '95 and NT (say in Word7). Hopefully
not as fuzzily as the ET6000.

I would also like to know its highest 2D Windows
resolution in 16 and 24bit colour.

        Does it do 1,280 in 24bit? What about 1,152 x 864?
I use 1,024 up to 1,280 on my 17" and need at least
        16bit colour.

I look at jpegs a lot (purely for scientific purposes :-)
so I need good clear 16-24 bit at at least 1,024 x 768.

        Thanks,

        Tony Lai

Is there a memory upgrade so you can run 1280x1024x32bit?  I really like the
deep resolution and high refresh rate of my Matrox and this is the single
factor holding me back from the InterGraph card.  I would love to play ICR2 in
photorealistic splendor, but not if I have to give up high performance under
Windows NT 4.0.

I don't think there is a memory upgrade available, but considering at
this point there are no NT drivers (they are in development) it's
really a moot point.

Why don't you call Intergraph and ask them...they're very helpful!
Or visit their site.

http://www.intergraph.com

And do a word search on "reactor",which should get you to CS.
