I only want to buy one more racing sim this
year, and can not decide between 'Touring Cars'
and TOCA 2. The former is now EB as 'Coming
Soon' but I have seen no reviews for it. Anyone
with any advice?

I'm not personally aware of such a title- perhaps you mean Grand Touring
(elite title, Empire to publish)?

It's due... this weekend, i believe in the UK.

As far as toca 2- 27th Nov ship for PSX (demo due on OPSM this month)

PC- who the *** knows 8)

I'd hope before Xmas,but the 27th is really the last week people will take new
titles pre-Xmas.

TOCA2 will be worth your wait. ;) For the Formula Ford's alone.

I think he meant TOCA 1,what is this Grand Touring Cars about??And what
other additions are being made to TOCA 2 to make it better than its
predecessor???

where you'll find heaps of info on TOCA2 - there'll be an exclusive
interview with Gavin Raeburn in the next 2 or 3 days. IMO, TOCA 2 is
going to put all the other closed wheel sims in the shade.
I've download the 3 versions of Grand Touring car and have steadily got
more disappointed with what I saw. It's a long way from finished, but
the last demo had a checkpoint system rather like Sega games. The makers
claim that the final version will have realistics physics and certainly
the suspension graphics in one of the demos looked ok, but the sounds
are appalling and the feel wasn't too good, though the graphics are
quite reasonable. With TOCA2 close over the horizon they've got an awful
lot of ground to make up.

Better physics, better graphics, better AI, much better internet play, editable car skins, pit
stops, 1998 BTCC season, damage model, range of realistic support cars (just as a typical BTCC
race meet), laser scanned cars, more tracks, wireplay, T2 server, 30 fps on a P166, SLI
graphics support (+others) and quite a lot more - the wonder is can they fit it all onto one
disk? Must be the assembler language code. The more I hear about TOCA2 the more I feel like a
little boy at Christmas looking at those tantalising presents under the Christmas tree. Paul
