Can't Race Multiplayer

I have been trying to race multiplayer on N4 for two days and the same
thing keeps happening to me.  I connect via modem to ISP then open up
N4.  I click on Multiplayer and the Sierra icon is still grayed out.
I have been racing online for about a month before this happened.
Anyone got any clue what has happened.
