Midtown Madness - disable video detect?

by SAB » Mon, 06 Sep 1999 04:00:00

Hello All,

I have a multi monitor setup.  I use an old Matrox Millennium as the
secondary, and midtown madness does not like it.  It works fine if I disable
the card, but if it is enabled, and MM goes to do a video check (upon
starting) it bombs the whole OS.

Anyway to get MM to skip the video check.  It only seems to do it when both
cards are enabled.

Thanks!

Try the latest drivers for the card and get directX 7 and try that.
There is no way to disable the video check in the game ... it's
automatic as soon as you change adapters or drivers to insure optimum
performance for the game.

You might be able to disable hardware acceleration to get the matrox
card through the automatic profiling the first time then re-enable it
to play on your primary card.
