Calling F3 drivers

by m.seer » Thu, 01 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Sad as it is, we now have a couple of tossers who want to wreck our racing.
It took a while to percolate down from the F1 races but now we have people
who want to jump the flag, run people off the road and generally cause
disruption in any way they can. Tonight, we had a class field at Silverstone
in pro mode and it was shaping up to be a good dice from qualifying. The
race was effectively over after 50 yards. To combat this, I am opening a
passworded room for the exclusive use of F3 drivers. There will also be a
mailing list to inform you of the frequent <daily> changes of password for
the room. With this facility, we will be able to organize pass protected
races.

In addition to this, my good buddy Asgeir Nesoen runs a private server on
which resides a NG exclusively for F3 racers. I will give out details of how
to connect to this so as to keep our niche community alive and kicking.

Initially, I am requesting any driver known to myself as a regular F3 racer
to email me in order to get on to the list. After I have established a core,
I will invite members of the list to recommend other people known to be
trustworthy. Any racer who abuses this service will be promptly thrown off
the list.

It is sad that we have to take such measures to eliminate the scum who take
pleasure out of ruining other people's hard earned leisure time. the F3
crowd is generally a good bunch of guys and gal and I, for my part will not
let idiots erode what we have all worked hard to build.
