BT Internet 11.75 per month including Vat with free weekend access via 0800
number. Speed of connection is now improving.
Does anyone know good uk online sites for GPL, SCGT, GP500, RS2 ?
Thanks
Karl.

Mark,

SCGT, possibly GPL although I'm still finding that a bit hard.

BTInternet ,it's 129 per year (paid up front) or 11.75 per month and gives
free weekends. You get the usual e-mail addresses, web space etc. I believe
it was also free all over the Xmas break (blast I missed it).

Karl,

Exactly. I have some practising to do on SCGT, as I've only just managed to
get the service pack 3, from a kind gentleman in Canada. I'm also still
rebuilding my PC (I'll be on my 4th and 5th motherboard tomorrow) - don't
ask! but a P3 667, UDMA 66, PC133 is not well supported.

If anyone wants a copy of SP3 for SCGT let me know, and it's it not too many
I'll send them.

Theres the UKGPL league for GPL if you want to join a league, otherwise just
get Winvroc you'll always find someone on at the weekend ;)
Not sure about SCGT online so can't help you there.

Aren't they updating BTinternet in the next few weeks though?
7/month for free weekend use and 14/month for the weekend and weekday
off peak too.
I can't wait :)

Yes I have heard that too, a week after I sign up for their 129 deal. I'm
hoping to upgrade to weekend and off peak.

Screaming.net gives totally free off-peak (6pm-8am weekdays adn 6pm Friday
until 8am Monday) access on all days, you don't even have to pay a
subscription to use them. Telephone line has to be transferred over to a
firm called Localtel to get this. I've been with them since June and have
had no problems at all. Some people haven't been quite so lucky according to
some things I have read but I can only tell you of my own experiences.

I should point out that while I use screaming.net for most things and
it is satisfactory for email and web-surfing, in my experience it is far
too slow and unreliable for on line racing.  I have several other
free-isps for on-line GPL and use screaming for everything else (and it
saves me a fortune).
