My Momo arrives soon and I'd like to be prepared.

Can anyone supply me with a core.ini tweaked for the above wheel?  Any
nuggets of information from people who speak from experience would be
welcome.

Cheers,

    It depends on your personal preference.  I searched the newsgroups using
google for gpl + lwff + ff  and got a ton of hits for my wheel.  I had to
try about 5 settings before I found Eric Cote's which are quite strong.  On
my wheel, at least, the others were barely noticable.  So if you want
subtlety, try Jens settings or Alisons.  If you wan the wheel fighting your
every twitch try Eric's.  Eric's old site is down but there are plenty of
references to it in other posts....here's what I got from there:
(expand your newsreader to full screen to read properly)

allow_force_feedback = 1                 ; Use FF if device has it
force_feedback_damping = 75.000000        ; force feedback damping
coefficient
force_feedback_latency = 0.020000        ; force feedback latency (secs)
max_steering_torque = 65.000000          ; steering torque in N*in giving
max device force

Thx.  Just had a couple of laps in N2K2 so far.  Hmmmm....  I hope this Momo
grows on me or this is an expensive mistake...

The pedals are -awful-  Sticking with my TM F1 pros...

Here are the core.ini settings I use with my Momo

[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1                ; Use FF if device has it
force_feedback_damping = 15.0           ; force feedback damping coefficient
force_feedback_latency = .001600        ; force feedback latency (secs)
max_steering_torque = 230               ; steering torque in N*in giving max
device force

In the windows game controller settings, I use 85% total strength, 100%
spring, 70% damper, centering spring enabled and set to 50% strength.
Works like a charm, plenty of feedback and not so strong that it breaks
your wrists when you hit something. :)

Thanks.  I don't have the time I used to to experiment and play around
with these sort of things (that's parenthood) so the suggestions help.
 I'll give it a try tomorrow.
