we are using multi.exe to play locally here (not on hawaii server) and
i've read that you can stop the repair so you don't go a lap down but
can't find anywhere HOW to do this..anyone know????

I didn't remember seeing it in the readme.txt, either. I found it by
accident. While you're in the pits, hit F(9 to see your repair screen.
You'll see an estimate of repair time. Hit ENTER when you want to stop the
repair....EASY!

When the repairs start the number of seconds remaining to complete
the repair is displayed under F9. Just hit enter at anytime and the
repair will stop and you can start driving.

i found it also right after i posted the question and decided not to
cancel the message as i figured there had to be someone else that
didn't know :)

one more question, we run "multi" to play against each other here
since it gives some nice extras, and i noticed that using F9 it does
attempt to show how much time is remaining for repairs (which is
hardly ever correct) but it also has a purplish color bar going across
the top...what's it for? it doesn't seem to say anywhere...
