Bruce, first let me state that I have NO warez on my HD, and never have.
I'll admit to a few bits of unregistered shareware.
Now then, I once found a $100 bill in the gutter. It spent just as well and
any other money from any other source.
Now, if I review a book my opinion of it is not colored by whether I got it
from the library, stole it from a bookstore shelf, or. . . found it in the
gutter.
The only way of obtaining it that might effect my opinion is having PAYED
for it. That ruins a certain amount of objectivity. I may find it a good
read *for free.* Or perhaps I find it bad, in which case having payed for it
would make feel WORSE about it.
I have a certain distaste for warez, but your argument against it here is a
bit emotional and flawed.
I might also point out that your joke post on the release of the beta warez
might have been more true than you think. If warez didn't already exist the
software companies would be compelled to invent it. Many of the warez items
out there ARE intentionally released by the marketing division of the
company.
