  Am I correct in saying that the patch mainly fixes bugs with the
multiplayer aspect of Nascar 3?
  I haven't struck any bugs playing single player, but I hear that the AI
has been improved by the patch. Is this correct, and if so, is it worthwhile
me installing the patch?
  Most importantly... Papyrus released a patch for N2 to allow saves during
races. Is this possible with Nascar 3?

Uh, yeah. I believe you can save during a race. Try pressing escape during a
race, and try to exit the race menu. The game should ask if you want to
save... I believe...
