Hi there,

after installing an Voodoo 3 in my Comp ( which runs great in GPL btw ) in
can't get Viper to run. Whenever i will start a race, i got thrown back to
the desktop, showing me an log-file:

    Hi Michael,

    We've got a V3 here in the office, and it runs quite well.  This crash
is outside of Viper Racing, out in driver-land (you can tell, because VR is
down near 00400000).  I'd check out the latest drivers, that should help you
out.

The problem may be caused by ActiveMovie hosing up the driver--before going
through the hazardous driver installation time-sink, you might try using the
"-nointro" flag available with the 1.1 patched version--go to Start
Menu/Run...
and type:
  "viper racing" -nointro
which will launch without the intro movie.  Has Sierra shipped a patched
version
that can run on European installations?  If not, you can try to get someone
to e-mail
you the "race.bin" file from a patched Viper Racing\Data folder.
