i'm still new at all this, so here
is more detailed information about
sega rally revo 2007. the good news
is the framerates look much better now.
the bad news is i still have not seen it
in a store (in the US), [and there is no
new release date that i can find, hopefully
it hasn't been cancelled....]
after playing a lot more of the races,
and taking some more sample framerates
data this is what i found:
my video card : nvidia GTS 8600 - 16xPCI
memory : 256Megs
pc : intel duoCore 2.0ghz
system memory : 2 gigs

Conclusions:
=====================================================
If you don't mind no-aliasing, on the highest
quality setting ,i saw an average of : 65 fps
If you don't want ANY effects : 122 fps
---------------------------------------
More reasonable settings :
8xq - normal - 60fps, or 8xq - custom, high w/rearview off-65fps
-------------------------
16x - normal - 53fps, or 16x - custom, high w/rearview off-60fps
-------------------------
16xq - low - 60fps, or 16xq - custom, normal w/mud and rearview off
50fps
Yes, the framerate drops at times, on the higher settings,
momentarily,but never below 30fps.
Also, on the lowest setting there is some small
polygons object pop-up.
So, if you play around with the settings,
or have a more powerful card, you can
easily get 60fps average on ALL tracks,
if you don't mind turning off the rearview
mirror or mud effects.
There is NOT a huge difference between Normal and High,
unless you are watching replays, or watching the effects
while you are driving. Also, i couldn't really tell any
difference between 8x, 8xq, 16x, or 16xq.
