You can read the first installment of Steve Smith's Advanced Setup Guide
for Grand Prix Legends at Eagle Woman's Grand Prix Legends site:

Steve Smith, former editor of "Car & Driver", "Motor Trend", and "PC
Computing", is the author of the excellent book, "Four Wheel Drift",
which is included in the box with GPL.

However, the book went to press before GPL was complete, and some
aspects of the sim involving setups had not reached their definitive
state when the manuscript was finalized.  In addition, licensing issues
and other considerations placed certain limitations on what Steve could
write in his book.

In the Advanced Setup Guide, there are no such constraints, and you can
read exactly what Steve has to say.

For example, all mention of the Ferrari was deleted from "Four Wheel
Drift" before it went to press.  Steve's first ASG installment, entitled
"The Mystery of The Missing Marque", remedies this omission.  This new
section explains in detail how to get the best out of the magnificant
red machine.

Steve invites comments from readers; his email address is in the
Advanced Setup Guide.

To quickly access Steve's guide, go to the URL above, and then click on
Help, and then Car Setup.

And he did a nice job!

I'm surprised, given how candid he was about some issues.  I've never seen an
"official" game doc be so open about hardware options, naming names.

Wondered about that.

Thanks for all the great work, to both of you.
