Call To ICR2/CART racers

Ok this is a call to all Papy sim racers specifically ICR2/CART.

I recently wrote to Sierra via there message board and asked the question
"Is Sierra/Papy planning an update to ICR2, since CPR has hit the streets
and has the potential of being a great sim (barring the current problems,

people write them the more they know the game is still desired.

So this brings me to RAS.  Email them if you would like to see them update
our favorite sim!  We are the consumers so let's voice our desires.  Let's
try to push this up instead of always being on the receiving end...

We all know ICR2 rocks with great framerates and AI, and I could list a
bunch of things here.  So if they can take the technology from there new
sim GP Legends and apply that knowledge to ICR3/CART2 then we might be
happy once again.

CPR, does have the potential to be a legend (it is now for being so poorly
QC'ed before release) for the game play.  That is if they ever figure out
the framerate hog. I get 7-8 fps without smoothing on and with 4-6.  ICR2
everything on and lots of cars drawn front and back I NEVER drop below 25
fps!!!  I am not blessed with a monster system either (P133, Rendition 3D,
32 mb).

So let's exercise our voices.  I already have, wanna join me?!?!

I don't like NASCAR or SODA OFF ROAD racing much, and I really don't
care much
for a sim w/old time cars that don't have enough grip to floor the gas
pedal.  I did not buy
CART b/c I already have ICR2 and I still play it frequently even with
all the new stuff.
For what my business is worth, I would but a new CART sim from papy
sight unseen.
The CART series is growing tremendously every year and Im sure there are
others like
me.  Please consider going back to it.

I wonder if word of it will ever get to the programers?
if you have any other E-MAIL addresses Ill send it there to

I also feel real disappointed that papy didn't continue their past
patterns and make ICR3
or CART this Christmas as a new sim based on the N2 physics w/BGN grafx
quality.  Oh
well

p.s. theres a 2 month ICR2 league starting soon at

But was there ever a patch to fix the grip level in ICR2???    Frankly
I consider ICR2 a waste of my money.   I never play it cause it is
like racing on ice.   I have heard the arguments about the reduced
grip levels but frankly it is just not enjoyable.

Nascar Racing 1 and 2 on the other hand are exellent.   An IndyCar is
suppossed to be half the weight and have twice as much ***
footprint as a Winston Cup car yet it is twice as difficult to drive.

Did I miss a patch somewhere??

Cheers,

Craig

Well, as a matter of fact, maybe you did. There was an issue with
the car setup getting corrupted (or something like that) the longer you
drove - leading to oversteer. Got version 1.02?
Apart from that, have you tried simply softening front susp
settings, etc. I can remember watching a CART race from the***pit one
day and the front wheels were turned far more than the car was steering
ie front wheel skid. So maybe it's more realistic than you think. CART
cars don't have a 500 lb + motor siting over the front wheels iether!
