Nascar2 driving resolution

Nascar2 driving resolution

I can't get the driving resolution to stay on 320x200.  I set it in
options and when I go to a race it changes to 640x480, and it won't
change back unless I go back to the main menu.  I have a 486-66 and I
need the low resolution to make the game usable.  Has anybody got any
ideas?

I'm having the same problem.  I called Sierra without any success.  I also
took the CD and installed it on another computer with an entirely
different configuration and still have the same problem, so it's not my
computer.

Hope someone can help.

It does that on mine, too. Until this gets patched (hear that Sierra?),
make sure you set up all your lo-res graphics options before you enter the
track.

You need to change the graphics in the Main Menu area.  That seemed to
work for me.

I posted the above question about 10 days and got this reply from a fellow
racer.  I haven't had a problem since then:

I run in VGA and I notice that if I change to VGA at Options screen
before entering a quick race and entering a track I have no problems.
However once I enter quick race and then try to go to graphics and
change to VGA I can't or if I have it in VGA already then go to the
graphics at that point it automatically changes to SVGA.

Just because you have to doit each time doesn't make it a bug or a
problem.  Or was having to type Nascar -h a bug for SVGA users of N1?
