I would give it a low 5. The audio and "green screen" of death, the "extra"
commericals to deal with those problems, all got on my nerves.
Alan Bestwick, thumbs up. BP, thumbs up. Wally, needs work, thumb sideways.
Bring back DW. Whose loudmouth was that in the pits? John Kernan, ugh, get
rid of him. Keep Yocum, though.
They finally realised that NASCAR fans aren't all CNN fans and did away with
the hard-to-follow scrolling track positions. The stagnant ones are better,
but I like the TOP 15 (with seperators between each 5) box to the top left
ESPN used to have. Did they have the little button/icon showing the current
flag/track condition? I don't remember but dont think they did. That was one
cool thing that Fox did.
And to nit pick quasi-blindly, I have a DSS dish and all the FX races where
crystal clear. I don't have the updated unit that allows local networks so I
use an antenna for Fox and NBC, ABC, etc. To my eyes, with my stations tuned
as well as possible, it appears that NBC is using inferior cameras. The Fox
feeds were crystal clear especially in super slow mo, HS cameras maybe? The
NBC footage simply didn't appear as clear, me thinks older tech in use
there. Come on Cosby Network, buy some better gear for the NASCAR events.
hehe Same goes for the footage I've seen thus far on TNT (Q was on TNT
right, and the Busch race?)
Anway, my 2 cents in the wrong newsgroup
