Grand Prix Legends & Voodoo2/Matrox Mystique 220

I just got the Grand Prix Legends demo and let me start out by saying it is going to be an EXCELLENT game.. the car physics are just simply stunning!  The actual game i have no problems with but the menus are all hosed up..meaning that there is flickering galore and mouse residue all over the place, so bad i can hardly see what i'm doing.  Here is my system:

Tiger Pentium 233mmx
64 meg sdram
32x Creative Labs CD-Rom
Matrox Mystique 220 using their latest drivers 3.81
Creative Labs 3D Blaster PCI Voodoo2 using Glide 2.5 (and all the newest drivers from 3dfx.com)
Optiquest 17" 773 monitor
Logitech Wingman Extreme
Creative Labs AWE64 Value Edition

Right now all of my drivers in DirectX are certified with the exception of the Voodoo2 driver which is blank.  I have no problems with any games except for a couple of EA games (I swear I think they cut corners in programming over at EA), none of which are major.  In one of their games: NBA Live 98 I experience problems that are somewhat similiar to this problem with residue and flickering but it could be something entirely different.

I just wondered if anyone has any ideas for how to fix this?  I'm not too concerned about the demo but if I buy the game I don't want the same thing (Recently I mistakenly bought a game after having trouble with the demo and thinking the game would surely be fixed - guess what? it wasn't - Triple Play 99 has no sound is what i'm talking about).  If I can't be assured I won't have this problem in the full blown game I'll be forced to not purchase this thing and I hope that's not the case!!

Any ideas?

Shaun

Did you realise you don't have word-wrap turned on? Looks utterly
spiffy on Agent.

Cheers!
