"Sierra made NASCAR 1999 edition - which is basically NASCAR 2, but with a new
truck racing model and some graphical changes/enhancements - especially in the
3dfx department. EA Sports just released a demo of "NASCAR Revolution" which
was branded an arcade game by most of the ppl here and not seen as a realistic
challenge to Papyrus' ***!
CHORUS: NASCAR 3 will be a new NASCAR sim from Papy/Sierra and will be their
best yet, based on the GPL physics engine and anticipated to be released later
this year... if you believe all the hype :o)"

Yep. There are two. The Sierra version is a simulation and the EA Sports
is an arcade game. The EA Sports one is out for Nintendo 64 and
Playstation, while the Sierra one is just for PC. EA Sports is working
on creating their NASCAR 99 on computer which is going to be called
NASCAR Revolution, they state it is going to be a sim, but...oh well.
Why couldn't EA just stick with football and basketball? Hehe.
