DAMMIT! Spa GP...

Hey guys,

I just went for a GP at Spa, I completed 26 laps, crossed the SF line to
start 27.... and I crashed in Eau Rouge while right behind Dan Gurney.

I could just sit down and bury my head in a bucket of sh*t, dammit, dammit,
dammit................

A bit like me the last time I tried a GP at Monza... was leading on my
way to what would have been my first win in a GP when on lap 63 (of 68)
the engine expired! That one was truely crushing!

I was pausing it every time i ate one :o)

It was a fairly big accident too, I went into eau rouge A, brake and went
into 3rd, then i must of put throttle on too soon, because all of a sudden
the rear came round on me, it slammed HARD into the armco then went up the
hill! Then John Surtees came along and whacked me before i'd even stopped! I
was left there, on fire, with one wheel. dammit, dammit ..........

BTW if anyone ever tried a GP at Spa, dont use your normal gearing, you'll
be out before long, I always lenghten 4th and 5th gears a little for a GP
now.

<GG> You sound like Miss Crabtree.

Calm down Tim :-) As Ron Dennis would say (irritatingly) "That's motoracing
...uuuuuuhhhhhhhhh... not racing incident.....uuuuh"

I sorta know the feeling... About a fortnight ago I crashed out on lap
62 of an 80-lap Silverstone GP when I put the power on too early coming
out of Chapel. The car spun, hit the bank on the left and landed upside-
down.

Shame because I was gearing up to pass Clark after a pretty much race-
long battle :-(

Wow! Good luck :-) I think Jim Russell is a better option. It's easier to get
to, they give you a race, you get yout licence and then there's the option to
race their championship...

Can anyone give an opinion on the Skip Barber school?  I've considered going to
a racing school for YEARS, but I've always had financial 'reservations's.  How
does S-B compare to any OTHER schools in the States?

Long long race... I share your frustration. The other day I did
17 laps online at the Glen in a starting grid of 18 or so, then
crashed out in the big bend on lap 16 in a comfortable fourth
position (started from the back) simply because of an unforced
driving error. I clipped both left wheels, only to find out that
Shift-R's  were disabled. 8-P

Pass over that bucket, mate ;-)
