Ferrari or Act Labs?

Ferrari or Act Labs?

by Rat » Mon, 07 Feb 2000 04:00:00

I would like to buy a FF wheel and have decided to go for one of these
wheels because with all the reviews, they are the 2 best FF wheels on
the market.  The only problem is that I can not decide which wheel to go
for.  From what I hear both have advantages and disadvantages. How do
they compare with the amount of Force?  Has Act Labs finally fixed the
problem with there pedals?  Any comments would be appreciated thanks.

If you can wait about 3 weeks I'll have a Shoot-Out review on these two
units. I've used the Ferrari wheel for a month and am now testing the Force
RS.

Ferrari or Act Labs?

I have been in the same dilemma. I think I have settled for the Act
Labs because of the shifter and the module to turn it into a PSX wheel -
I do a bit of Gran Turismo 2 when I dont feel up GPL. Also I have
read here that the FF is very good in the Act Labs.

I am leaning towards the Act Lab also.  There support is outstanding..
Being a big Ferrari fan I am in a real dilemma on which wheel to get,  that
logo on the center of the wheel makes my heart pump like mad.

Some Ferrari wheels came through with a trimmer out of adjustment. Their QC
department is aware of this and is taking care of it (or has already).  I've
written a How-To article with pics on some fixes and modifications. It can
be found here: http://home.maine.rr.com/deroy/ferrari.htm

Easy. Buy ACT Labs wheel, buy Ferarri keyfob (or whatever), and tube of
Superglue :-)
