Nascar 3 online, 1st races

by Semi » Mon, 09 Apr 2001 08:15:02

After using a software modem and laugably attempting to race on VROC I
quickly got rid of the offending article and went for an external hardware
model

after a few races on vroc (Im still a useless backmarker) i had a bash on N3
online and it was Brilliant!!!!!!
im still a backmarker but the races have been a lot closer
are the online races as good in N4?
Does the restrictor plate removal  work on online races in N3?
it seems everyone has more powerful cars than me,and i only pass accidents
or cars winding their motors back up after a crash.
another strange thing is that when I race GPL i cannot get away with using
the***pit view despite many attempts, yet i can only race in this view
with N3.

In Nascar, the races always appear to be closer because the tracks are
so much smaller in terms of overall length.  The short tracks amplify
this feeling even more.

Any racing is good when everyone's connection is adequate and everyone
is on the track to race instead of wrecking.

The server controls whether or not restrictor plates are used.

You probably don't have as good of a setup as they do.

I do the same thing (chase mode in GPL,***pit mode in N3/N4) - don't
let it bother you. :-)
