GP3: HW or SW?

Forgive me being a little dense, but as my GP3 disc is sitting around doing
nothing, I thought I'd try the CART tracks from alpha-f1. To get the new
tracks, I can either download the software version, or the
hardware....what's the difference, please?

Colin, when you run GP3, check in your graphics setup whether it says you
are using software or hardware rendering. Whichever it is, you'll need to
download the appropriate version of the track ie, for software rendering use
the software version. At least thats how I understand it.

hardware 3D. The software rendering can be done with only a 2D card,

I allways download the hardware versions.. I'm quite sure those are
better than the software versions. But what the actual difference is..
no idea :)
Elkhart lake is great fun btw in gp3.
