You're kidding, right?  This is per person or for a group?

If per person then thank god for Capitalism.  If per group, then thank God
for God.

But then if folks are going to buy loads of Duck tape and plastic because
they fear an imminent terrorist attack, then anything is possible.

No that is per group Alan.  Like if your league needs a quality server
run by an established group that knows what it's doing, then they are a
good choice.  Rather than depend upon somebody's dsl line you can host a
pretty huge field for a relatively small fee.(try building a server and
leasing a commercial-grade line for what they charge.)

Okay.  Thanks, Dave.  I can see per group.  Hell, with 20 people the thing
would cost each person just over a buck a month.  That would be worth it, I
would think.

Thanks again for the info,

Alanb

If it were free, then technically it wouldn't be a lease...<g>
But, I thought SASCAR was a "league"?  Maybe this is just a good way to get
others to help pay the bill for a high speed connection...

Yes Dave explained it well :) Up to 42 drivers can run on this server
without problems. Most likely users would be those that run leagues or are
looking to begin a league on a quality server located on the backbone of the
internet.

I've run SASCAR for free for 8 years now. This server and where it is
located is going to cost me over $5000.00 this year to run and maintain.
I've spent a lot of time & money over the years. I'm not looking to make any
money just help pay the bills <g>. This isn't your standard server. It co
located in a major data center to provide the highest quality for the
majority of sim racers to connect to. Chances are you'll connect better to
this server than most because you'll have less hops, which 9 times out of 10
equals lower pings, & higher quality. The bottom line is less warp & cleaner
safer racing :)
