WTB F1 Challenge at a reasonable price

Somehow I missed out on F1 Challege 99-02 at the close out price when
it was available.

Now all I can find are the ridiculous prices ($50+) on ebay.

If anybody can still get a copy at $19 or less and is willing to pick
it up for me, I will gladly pay that plus reasonable shipping.  Or if
you can point me to an online source in that range, I will do it
myself.

I will try to return the favor, if you are looking for some similiarly
"rare" software.

Please post here, cause this email addy is a fake one.

Thanks,

Ted

FYI - they're now out of stock.  So if anybody else finds a source,
please pass it on!

Zip slowly, medical statistics show that over 100,000 people are injured

And now they're back in stock....maybe they found a few extra copies laying around?

Guess you just have to keep checking the link.

Yeah, but they wont stay under $20!

Action closing in about 20 min. is getting $75 for a copy!

Maybe I should have invested in a few when they were closed out at Best Buy for $9!

Hindsight...

You should just order it anyway and choose the option to not wait for
a backorder (you'll see what I mean when you place your order). I
placed an order over the weekend and it has shipped. Haven't gotten it
yet, though, 'cuz I went for the el cheapo shipping which must be US
mail.

I think gohastings must be working with a distributor that still has
stock.

OK, I'll take your word on that.  I've ordered this and they canceled
the order because they could not fill it.  But I will try again.

Mine just came by UPS yesterday(strange that Standard Shipping is UPS
but UPS Ground is extra).
The site no longer says out of stock.

Tried to order some more for friends last week and just got the cancellation notice.
Maybe they're really gone now.

I sent a message to EA Sports support line asking them if and/or when
will F1 Challenge 99-02 for the PC be available again.  We know it's
now out of production and not many unsold copies exist, yet they're
still "advertising" it on the EA Sports web site, including a "Buy
Now" link to their online store.  Click it and you get a "product
unavailable" response.(???)

Didn't get any response from EA about my email inquiry, either.

My guess (?) is that F1C will re-appear sometime in "shovelware" form,
just as F1 2001 and F1 2002 have done (def. - shovelware: a CD-ROM in
jewel case with no box , a PDF copy of the manual on the CD-ROM, and
selling for about $9.99 at Wal-Mart, etc.) At least we HOPE it will,
right?
