First drive at Spa

First drive at Spa

I've been driving GPL for almost 2 months on and off now, almost totally at
Monza with the odd lap at the Glen and the Ring.  Tonight I decided to drive
a few laps of Spa before DS9 comes on TV.  All I can say is wow, what a
circuit!

I'm gonna have to learn this one.  After three laps I'd got myself down to
3:43 in an F1 Ferrari but obviously that's just pootling around.  Of course
I also made the mistake of trying to drive through Eau Rouge flat like you
can in GP2.  Not a good idea!  I managed to launch myself over the perimter
fence and found a whole load of extra green stuff most people haven't
visited.

Looks like Spa will be the only circuit I'll be driving this week.

Cheers

Phil

Welcome to Spa, Phil. Now *this* is a circuit! IMHO, by far the most
fun in the game - fast, challenging corners, lots of elevation
changes, but not as impossible to remember as the Ring.

How you get a Ferrari round that place I do not know - I can only
record fast times in the Eagle and Lotus (people say the Honda's good
here, but I just can't get the hang of it).

Eau Rouge flat? Er, no. Third gear only for me.

Er, if you see a pair of black driving gloves and a half-eaten Snickers bar
there, they're mine . . .

Definately. Spa and Watkins Glen are the two tracks I race at the most
these days, the Glen being for hotlapping and Spa for sheer pleasure.

It's great if you're running a long on-line race too. Because Spa is
so long and open, a full grid rarely stays close together.

Oh, I think we've all visited there several times! :) (I can only speak
for myself though...)

Well...if you're going to be a while...
