I find that the riders in sbk are very slow at accelerating out of 1st gear
corners but do very well on fast corners. This enables me to do very well on
the slower circuits, winning quite easily within a few laps of learning a
circuit on the fastest setting with all the aids turned off.

hmm.... I find that the AI is slow almost everywhere. I set all the
settings on realistic and I can outqualify them by over a second almost
anywhere you care to mention. My 1m41.1 at Monza left them for dead.

Has pretty much hurt my enjoyment of the game to be beating the AI so
quickly (I've only played for 10 hours or so).

This would be simulation mode. "100% Realism"... or what passes for it

I love SBK but it's going to be a shelf filler before too long because it's
too easy once you're adjusted to it. Now either I'm exceptional and the
game is right or I'm just good and the game is too easy. I want challenges
lasting weeks, not hours.

I have found the AI easy to beat when you race the lesser amount of laps. You
can use sticky tires and non conservative settings whilst they default to long
distance settings. On the longer races I find it a real cahllenge as I have to
conserve the tires.
