No, because I adjusted the others sounds down as suggested (like
opponents to 40%). Was in a race last night and several cars crashed
around me, and skid sounds with this are just awesome. Not sure I can
live with the engine in it's current state though. I've tried all
different drivers and options on the sound with no luck. Wonder if
this is a SBLive problem only? What are the others who report perfect
engine sound running?

I'm using a SBLive and I think the engine sounds are very good. The only
change I've made is to turn down the crash level some.

Michael Fwiw, Cant you do this by just installing Mea***er's
mwn4_10.exe file to a temp directory and just extract the wav
files you want? just my $00.02 <g>
Cheers Thom_j.

|     We went through this once before.. I'd rather test the sounds out
first
| to see if I like them or not.  And/or test each individual sound and take
| the best out of each.  For GPL I didn't like a couple of Mea***ers sounds
| but loved a couple others of his.  So, If he's reading..  could you please
| separate the files for download so I can manually replace individual
sounds?

I agree T. The skid, crash etc sounds are fantastic!! What I was trying
to ask {& I guess I didnt make myself clear??} is/was did you find the
engine sounds too soft with a kinda background sound in it & you just
answered my question below. I have sent Mea***er an email & was
nice enough to reply to me.
Apparently the engine sound is suppose to emulate what you'd hear if
you had a helmet on.. Still soft for me & I cant seem to get the woosh
sound out either? 'O' well Thanx for the sounds Mea***er. They are
better then the original sounds.. No doubt about it..
Cheers Thom_j.

Darn. I loved Mea***er's stuff for EAW, etc... but I also have a SB
Live! (5.1 X-Gamer) and am afraid I am going to have to skip this one.

Oh well.

Will try.  Am getting used to the muffled engine sound, especially
when I read it is supposed to simulate what the sound is like when
wearing a helmet inside the car.

Thanks!
