I'm doing some research for my brother who is looking to buy himself a
laptop for personal use (his business 'puters are all mac and doesn't
know much about windows based machines) and would like to know if he'd
be able to run things like GPL and GP3.

 I know there are some issues with laptops and some games, but not
owning a laptop myself I don't know how to advise him. Any suggestions
or things to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

we have an old IBM Thinkpad P133. The problem is the monitor, the refresh
rates are really bad, so you see some wierd blending and overlapping. It
made it impossible for me to play N2 on it. I have no idea what the new ones
are like, I'm just talking from what I know. (Just covering my ass :) )
