Painting ICR2 cars

I read a post regarding using an external paint program to paint
cars in ICR2 in PCX form. If anyone can give me some instructions
on how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated. I have gotten
the cars exported to the external paint program, but can't get my
painted car back into the carset. Thanks in advance.
