N2-interesting problem

A friend of mine is having one of the strangest
problems I have ever seen. He has a computer
with an Ensonique PCI sound card. He just installed
a Stealth2 pci video card.

If he runs "N2" everything OK
If he runs "N2rendition" everything OK
If he runs "Renddma" the joystick port shuts down.

If we pick "no sound" on the sound setup, "Renddma"
works fine, just like the other setting. If any sound
card, irq, address, dma is selected and "renddma" is
run, no steering wheel.

Anyone have any idea what is going on? The system
manager in W95 says there are no conflicts and
all cards are working.

Weird. The easy guess would be that the sound card and the DMA version
of N2 are both vying for the same DMA.
Haven't really read up on PCI sound cards though.

Maybe someone in one of the video card or sound card groups could tell
you. I'd be curious to hear the results, since I'm thinking of getting
a PCI sound card.
