Since I seem to be doing quite a bit of crash and burn lately, how about a
way to restart a race from the track main menu without having to leave the
track, just to reselect it and wait for it to load!

In ICR and NASCAR all you have to do is hit <Shift-R> and it'll restart.

Your list makes it look like you might be an IICC driver :-)  :-)

The Mid-Ohio problems must be just a bug, because they sure did have the
grass done right at Portland...

Go back and re-read the manual of the keyboard card that came with the
game.  SHIFT-R I think is the magic trick for doing this in version 1.0x

Second that one.

DEFINITELY! This is really annoying.

That'd be cool, but just a wish list item for me.

That'd be good, too.

Ayup.

And my number 1 complaint: A REV LIMITER!

No rev limiter means this has got to be the most unrealistic sim ever that
claimed to be realistic.

-> Wait a minute. Even if two tracks look quite similar their demands

Actually from what I have read, they are so similar, it's pathetic.  A
lot of fans are complaining that the new speedway should be changed
because it is too much like Michigan.  Of course, another problem is
that during races, the drivers will be driving into the sun and the sun
will also be in the eyes of the fans;  but that's not relevant to the
sim.

I agree with this totally.  You want to so that if you keep your finger on the
left or right view button it will still be looking that why until you let go of
it.  This will make it is to just have a quick flick to the left or right to see
if anyone is nearby just by pressing the button quickly and not keeping your
finger on it.

What about ripple strips as opposed to concrete walls (ie, Surfers Paradise,
AUS)  - the track in ICR has huge concrete walls where there actually should
be ripple strips with either grass or 'kitty litter' (ie. gravel) in the
centre.

Oh, better AI would be good too... ;->

Cheers !

Simon.
