If i load perfman and set the team i want to be best with high BHP and
grip, then go to a practice session or race my team mate does fantastic
times and you can see by the way he accelerates that he has lots more
grunt than everyone else. Yet my lap times are on a par with all the
others and i certainly havnt got the power increase that he has. Even if
i swop to his car i still only have what everyone else has BHP wise.

Any idea's anyone?

Doesn't matter what car you drive. You'll always have the same BHP unless
you change your own BHP. I havn't played with performan, but there should
be some place where it says "driver's BHP".

The players HP is not effected by the teams HP. It is the same whatever
car you choose. But there are some programs like GP2edit in which you can
change all you can imagine, also the HP and weight of your car.

But thats the piont i AM using Perfman which increases the BHP of "my"
team. My team mate roars off into the distance and leaves me to play
with the other also rans.

Easy, change your team mate's grip level. That will sort him
out!!! The FANTASTIC utility "GP2 Editor" v2.12 written by
Slobodan Blanusa is excellent for this kind of thing. At the risk
of repeating the previous post, I just want to add that you can
change practically everything. There's another utility that
changes the amount of damage caused to DIFFERENT parts of the
car....try lowering the values.....great!!! Try Pieter's GP2 web
page at

http://cervino.vol.it/GP2/

Lots of stuff here. Keeps GP2 upto date with paint jobs, etc.

Good luck.

You change the teams bhp with perfman, but my team mate always seems to
get my share of the extra bhp as well as his own increase!

I think you've missed the point of what he said.
The BHP/weight settings for the teams have no effect on the player, the
power of your cars will be the same whether you drive a williams or a
simtek! This is because there are seperate BHP/weight settings for the
player car, which overide the teams settings for your car only (your
team-mate will still use the team BHP/eight settings). If you use a
program like GP2edit2, it enables you to change these settings. You
should be able to find it at:

http://cervino.vol.it/GP2/

in the utils section

no,what you do is use slobodan blanusas or s.m.youngs editor, ignore
the team bhp(reset it to original value) find the PLAYERS bhp and
alter that, this will give you more or less hp whichever car you
drive.see my page for details of where to get these editors
