Uh, I respectfully disagree. I'm runnin a P90 w/1meg Stealth dram,
(HARDLY state 'o the art) and with all options ON, HiRes...Need for
Speed COOKS...SMOOTH AS SILK. (BTW...great arcade fun when you're
maxxed out tweakin that extra .1 second in Nascar/Indy) FWIW...save
your money on SMP...2 P133's DO NOT equal 266mhz system speed.

Actually I doubt that a dual processor pentium would help since DOS doesn't
take advantage of them.

I am using a Micron P100 and this game is near perfect. All options to the max
and smooth as silk.
I have a Gateway2000 133MHZ with the OEM Matrox Millenium card.
I haven't found a game that doesn't work (have most EA sports, ICR2,
NASCAR (pushing it)).
A dual pentium isn't going to do you any good (OS dependant).
My roommate has a P90 with the matrox, everything "seems" to work
OK too.
I would tend to agree that if you buy a machine, it will be
software obsolete if you don't buy something fast and upgradable.

Yeppers, you'd hafta have some overlay-type thing provided with the
motherboard for DOS to use it to its full potential. Heck; just go get a
SUN workstation! <g> Ashame they won't run DOS!
