New to F1RS ... San Marino .. What have they done !!

First impression ...  I MISS the old San Marino layout.

Did I get a surprice when I encountered the chicane where I expected
Tamburello !!!  :-)

I know the history of the layout changes but I just grew used to the
GP2 version of San Marino.

F1RS generally ....  and a couple of questions.

What a manual. This is propably the worst I have seen since my
Commodore 64 days.  You're really on your own when navigating through
most of the game.  This kind of manual can almost wreck a good game.

I like the "steering" approach to driving, versus the "turn and the
car follows like on rails" GP2 verson.

Haven't fiddled with setup yet so understeering badly on almost all
tracks. Part of it propably due to my GP2 driving style.  I am using a

TM GP wheel as input. Driving with all help off (except steering
lock).

1. Can this understeer be tuned out ?
Are the standard setups really bad or is it my driving style ?

2. Are there any difference in the handling of different cars (when a
   person drives them) ?
ie. is the Williams better than the Forti ?

3. When I hear some "moans"  ... does that mean the driver is
   experiencing G-forces ?     ... Or what !?  ;-)

Regards
Lars

I have no problems with it.... in fact the section that explains the car setup
and what effect it has is probanbly the best written description (on that
I've read ) of car physics and dynamics.

Though, I normally try and get soft fron AR and stiff back AR, then always
more wing at the front then at the back, Car a little bit stiffer at the back
than at the front.

Yes they are different, but I think that only the engine power varies.

I downloaded the melbourne setup from f1 racing sim and have used this with
varying degrees of wing at about 8 circuits to take pole comfortably. I did
change the brake bias more to the front though...
