Help with UK-only Senna book

by Rick Baumhaue » Tue, 08 May 2001 22:00:18

I'm trying to locate a copy of Richard Williams' "The Death of Ayrton Senna"
(paperback, 1999 revised edition).  It's a UK-only book, and I can't seem to
find one at the places I know about (Amazon.co.uk lists it perpetually as
"on order", and a copy I found on their zShops sold the day before I got to
it).

Any help would be greatly appreciated - I prefer online stores that will
ship to the USA.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried these people?

http://britishbooks.site.yahoo.net/britishbooks/1839.html

They charge $18.95, and quote a delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks. I've
never used the site (obviously, as it specialises in getting hold of
British books for US customers), so have no idea of its reliability
etc. There's also no indication as to which edition it is.

David,

Thanks for the pointer, but the link you gave is for Williams' other book,
"Racers", and they don't seem to have the Senna book.

Thanks again for the effort, though!

Rick

Another site you should look at is http://www.sportspages.co.uk

It has the book, but does not say whether it is in stock or not.  They do
however run a very cool shop, and if you are ever in London you should visit
it. I believe it was mentioned in Sports Illustrated last year.  Thousands
and thousands of Sport books.  Great!

Ryan,

Thanks!  I've placed an order with Sportspages, requesting that they let me
know if they don't have it in stock.  If they don't have it, I'll try the
other one.
