Where to get Silverstone?

by Ed Carpente » Sat, 04 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Hi,
I have seen people making references to Silverstone, but I'm not sure for
which sims they are talking about. Anyway, I'm just looking for a sim that
has silverstone and I don't care which one. Does anybody have any ideas or
suggestions.

Thanks,
Ed

Well you will need to buy Grand Prix Legends, the only "real simulator" !!!!

(it's in many others, but it's not like GPL). For more information check out

My advice...get GPL with the 1967 config of Silverstone (no chicanes/gravel
traps or other modern crap) and then...if you want the new version (with
becckets and luffield instead of woodcote) get GP2.  It may be old but its
still the best modern F1 simulator out there IMO.

Grand Prix Legends has the old 1967 version of the track and Ubisoft's F1
Racing Simulation has the current version. Grand Prix 2 may also have it.

GP2 has the 1994 configuration of Silverstone, it was changed slightly a
couple of years back to make some of the corners a bit faster again. I
expect you can probably download an up to date version from one of the GP2
sites

MGPRS has the latest track configuration with the Lufffield update...
