The SLI mode really is a rip off for N2 and most likey for GPL too.  Buy the
12 meg.

    I have a question about SLI 3dfx.  Can one join two 8 meg cards together
or will only the 12 meg cards work in SLI mode?  The reason I ask is that
they are having a sale on the 8 meg cards here in my area and they are
pretty affordable.  I wouldn't mind picking one up now with the assumption
that I would get another in a few months and hook them up in SLI mode.
    What do ya think?  Or, is the 12 meg card the only way to go?

Karl,

I believe the only restriction is that the two boards be of the same
manufacturer and memory size.  2 - 8 megs, or 2 - 12 megs will work fine, but
you can't mix an 8 meg board with a 12 meg board.  Correct me if I am wrong
guys.

The 8 meg cards do SLI. They just need to be identical cards is all ie same brand and
model/memory
