Presumably this is the latest "update" to the Hard Truck series.  Has anyone
tried it?

Hard Truck -- 18 Wheels of Steel...any good?

I have.  It's not bad.  It cures some of the
failings of the previous Hard Truck titles
(different developer for HT-18WOS) and can soak up
a lot of time as a truck company management sim.

If I had to characterize them, I would say Hard
Truck was a first stab at a trucking sim with some
gestures toward a management sim.  Hard Truck 2
pushed harder on the management angle while
complicating the game world with gangsters and
cops.  HT-18WOS manages to emphasize the
management sim aspects with a cleaner visual style
and simpler control scheme.  Of the three,
HT-18WOS works best out of the box.

Thanks.

So in summary, it is what % truck driving sim and what % trucking management
sim?

on the keyboard:

Got any pics of this one to post? Or know where there are some?
I have HT2 and while I find it a nice diversion the graphics engine is
a bit crap. Not so much the look of it but I get this slight pauses in
it now and again and not sure if it's caused by the graphics or the
AI. Either way, if this newer one solves those issues and adds some
nice features I would buy it.

Ignore my last post. I found a review with some nice screen shots.
Look at the below url for anyone who wants a better idea of what the
game is like.

I'd say 55-60% truck driving sim and 40-45%
trucking management.  Once you get a job, you've
got to deliver the goods over a pretty impressive
range of territory.  And as your business grows,
you hire other drivers, etc.

No.

Honostly, the physics are literally non existant, you can do a u turn on a 2
lane highway at 60mph with full throttle and not loose any traction or even
run off the road, you have basically unlimited corner speed, possibly the
biggest waste of time ive spent in a long time.

No, you haven't tried it...or no, don't get it because it's a waste of time?

With HT-18 wheels, does it allow you back a trailer
realistically...(using mirrors)?

Thanks...

One last question--does it support split axis pedals (the acid test)???
