GP2 Newbie, What Addons?

by Reggie Brook » Tue, 01 Feb 2000 04:00:00

I just got GP2. Are there any of the multitude of add-ons that I should
start off using right away, or should I stick with the original install
at first? I will not be concerned with multiplayer for now. I would be
mostly concerned with performance enhancements or utilities to add or
enhance operational features. Any opinions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Reggie Brooks

You just HAVE to try TunnelTrack and StuwLake, they're the best (fictious)
add on tracks there are!!

You might also consider downloading one of the many 1999 season updates to give
you all the 99 tracks and place them in the correct order in the game.  Also
get yourself a copy of GP2Edit.  This allows you to change car skins, menu
helmets, driver names, sounds, graphics, etc.  All from a easy to use Windows
program.  There are other "goodies" that you may want but they're optional.
Good places to start are http://www.grandprix2.com and also
http://www.alphaf1.com/gp2/

Laern to be fast first, the original tracks will do.

Get an up to date carset of course and you'll need GP2edit to install it o
get that too. And once you feel like your doing ok, then yo can look into
how to set up new tracks.

That would be my recomendation btu don't wait too long for the new tracsk,
some are fantastic!
