I tried patching N2 (nasrend.exe) with the V2DOSFIX utility (to get it
to work in DOS with my Stealth II). However, when I tried runing the
game in DOS (either using nasrend or renddma) it was had much slower FPS
than under Win95, so I went back to running under Win95 for now.

Has anyone else expereinced this? Is there something I'm missing? It was
a reboot into DOS, not a DOS window, and it was the same DOS config as I
used to use before getting the Stealth II.

Why did you have to use the patch at all?  Nascar 2 is running in rendition
mode on my Hercules Thriller (V-2200) without using the V2DOSFIX utility.  I
run it in Win'95 and am getting fantastic frame rates!!  I am running
renddma with the "-4" switch.

I did have to use the utility for ICR2 and it has to run in pure DOS on my
system with frame rates of 30 (all graphics on).

Did the BIOS assign an IRQ to the Stealth II? In my system N2 runs faster in
DOS than under Win95.

In DOS you get the fantastic frame rates without the "-4" switch! Give it a
try!
