It has been quite a while since I visited r.a.s., didn't
realize how long. Stopped in to see what people were saying
about Rally Trophy and found all of this great vehicle
dynamics info -- what a pleasant surprise! I have been
working on a game engine for a while now and only recently
started adding vehicle dynamics. Already picked up the
Gillespie and Milliken books (hello Doug, great book, makes
my brain ache occasionally), read the PHOR series, just
grabbed the Lowndes paper, and started going through the old
posts here, looking for "milliken", "van gaal", "wasson",
and "jessick". All great stuff.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and introduce myself, and
thank you folks for creating this great resource on the
subject. I will undoubtedly be back with questions as
my work progresses.

You didnt use to do C64 programming a while back by any chance?

  Welcome to the club ;-)  Don't forget to search for "Veble", "Tixier", and
"Hodgson" as well!  We also are setting up a consultancy fund...  Mail a check
to each of use for....  ;-)  Just kidding of course!

  If you haven't already done so, check out this forum through deja.com.  Type
"car physics" and you'll get archived stuff that's been covered here for
probably a year or longer by now.

Deja is now "groups.google.com", and much improved I must say.
And it returns stuff all the way back to '95 -- kind of funny
to go back and read some of that stuff now.

no, I don't think I'm the C64 programmer you're thinking of. I
grew up across the river from Endicott, NY -- IBM country ;)
