Hi,
Having just acquired N2 and have never really followed any threads
about it, I now realise I can't change the fuel level, it seems greyed
out... It this an early problem that has been patched?
Thanks

Actual NASCAR rules require that the car have a full fuel load. This is
part of the "weight" requirements. Therefore you can not change the
fuel load during practice/qualifying/start of race. You will however be
able to set the fuel load during solo Testing at a track.

Jean-Francois,
I believe this was done intentionally to force N2 to be more like the real
NASCAR in which you must qualify with a full tank. I agree that it seems
like a nuisance, but if everyone races with a full tank, I guess it evens
things out.

I personally don't mind this, although others feel that handling their
own fuel situation should be up to the player. With any 'conflict'
like this, I just say, "stick an option in for it then.." :))

Michael is correct. Nascar Rules say that you have to Qualify with a
full tank of gas. The program follows the Nascar rules by only allowing
you to change it when the rules allow, which would be a practice session
so you may see how the car is going to handle 20 laps into a session
with a lighter tank.
During the race, your crewchief decides how much gas is needed on the
pitstop to finish the race. If your close to the end, he may only put a
couple gallons in.
Hope this helps
