With Jr and Truex commenting weekly now were finally getting some respect :)

Back in the mid nineties I worked at HP and Bobby Rahal came by for some
type of sponsorship obligation and I asked him if he thought Computer Sims
could help a driver go faster.  He basically laughed in my face and said it
would never happen until they could simulate a "seat of the pants" feeling.
Guess he was wrong, ask Martin Truex :)

Only problem is, whenever they do an Article on them they say that they are
running NT2004 online when in fact they are running N2003

Who's Martin Treux? Honestly, I've never heard of the guy.

He drives DEI's Chance 2 Busch car. Or is the team owned by Jr. himself? Not
sure.

The last several weeks they've been saying N2003.  The commentator
during the Busch race specifically mentioned the BrianRing Talladega
track when referring to Jr/Truex practicing, and Truex spent some time
discussing N2003 on Windtunnel.

Jr. & Teresa are co-owners.

Well I saw some thing on G4 last night (for those that do not have G4, it is
a TV channel dedicated entirely to video games) and they had about 10
minutes on Dale Jr last night and said he races NT2004 online 2-3 nights a
week.

You will never hear Dale Jr say in an official interview that he races
N2003,  EA would go nuts since they are a sponser of his

True - but it was cool hearing about "TalladegaBR" being mention by the babe
Jeanne Z during the Busch race there.  :-)

I saw Truex Jr a couple weeks ago on Speedweek and they really had to "pry"
the name outta him.  He seemed really hesitant to mention Papyrus but he
did.

The suits at Sierra/Vivendi really needed to learn to market their sims and
never did.  Marketing to those fools was a center page ad in PC Gamer
instead of aiming at their true market in say, Motorweek.  Maybe if they had
half a brain we coulda been runnin NR2004.  Oh well.
