Just wanted to say that for anyone interested, myself, Marcelo Bassino,
Gary Godsoe and Tim Pinion have completed the first version of the 1997
IRL carset, complete with altered 3do files to represent the new '97
chassis. It's available from 'The Car Editor Project' at:

We'll be updating the carset as the season progresses, particularly as
