Does anybody know if there is any difference between these two
versions ?
I know the boxes are different, but how about the manuals and other
things ?

                                Thanks,

I think the European verison has two manuals, while the US has only one.
But I am not sure what's missing though.  I have send an e-mail asking
MicroProse if it is possible to get the European version here in Canada
(maybe a special order), or to get the extra manual.  So far I have not
heard from them. :(

The UK version has a technical supplement (28 pages) containing how to
install and run under dos + win95, a key guide (ie F1 auto brakes),
amendments to the other manual (154 pages), circuit guide, tech support
number for UK, command line options, trouble shooting sctions and
finally Micropose phone address email and BBS contacts.

We in Australia get the European version.
I heard that the US version's manual is all in black and white.
European version has a color manual which is 154 pages. There's also a
little tech sheet that gives key commands etc. That's all really.
As far as game differences go, I don't know.
