Would anyone know which companies are selling GPL in Canada? I have had
no luck on my search locally here in Ottawa.

If I run out of options here I will have to mail order from the US.

I was just at Office Place in Whitby yesterday and they had a load of
them on the shelf at $29.99 CAD. Do you have Office Place in Ottawa?
They always have copies and is the only store I know in Canada that
still sells it.

Yea, I bought mine there in '98 too, but you won't find a copy there
now.

It depends on each Future Shop. They are quite dependant on the amount of
PC software they have on the shelves. I've seen GPL appear and disappear a
couple of times at my local FS. Anyway, I hate that store.

I just posted a short while back that Office Place had them all. My local
shop had them at half price ($15), too, as part of a general sell-off of old
software.

In Montreal, many places carry it. Bureau en Gros (Staples) has had it for
$4.99. I bought mine at Walmart for $9.99. I've seen it at Zellers for
$29.99.

OK. I hate it too, but I still go there because sometimes they have
good deals. I complained about a manager to head office once over my
return of a defective video card. Since then they have changed their
return policy to a more accomadating one for the customer. That
manager no longer works there either, but I don't know if I had any
effect on that.

Future Shop Yonge St had it for a long time. The smaller stores will often
NOT have it as you say s/w availability is less).

But the website has always had it till early this year. You can buy it
there and have it shipped to your door!

And, yes the staff in Future Shop are really dumb. I know ten times as much
about PCs as they do.....just kids off the street.....
